In generations past, some ponies were sold with simply a plastic bag as the packaging. Now this trend has popped up in G4 with ponies at Target.
They’re for sale for $3 each, and only comes with one pony. They don’t have as much eye details and their head mold is the same. The cheaper toy is excellent for a quick grab for kids or for creating custom toys.
Currently there’s Pinkie, Rainbow, Rarity, Cheerilee, Applejack and Lily Blossom. It’s possible that other ponies could be included or this type of toy could expand into other stores, but right now they’re only in Target.
