SAN DIEGO - JULY 19: Hasbro returns to Comic-Con International in San Diego, California on July 19, 2017. The company's portfolio of brands represented in and around the convention include TRANSFORMERS, MY LITTLE PONY, HANAZUKI, BEYBLADE, DROPMIX, and WIZARDS OF THE COAST as well as partner brands including STAR WARS, MARVEL'S AVENGERS, DISNEY'S TANGLED, DISNEY'S DESCENDANTS, and more. And here is Sia’s character, Songbird Serenade.  I have to be honest and say I have no clue what I’m looking at, beyond someone’s OC and obviously a character from the movie.  Maybe she’s been in the show, but I literally stopped watching at the 100th episode so I really do not have a clue what is going on anymore.  Good thing I’m the “Editor in Chief” of the oldest FiM media sites, the rest will follow by example.  Honestly though the movie looks at least fun, and we probably would have had some fun reporting about it around here at ye old Derpy News, back when there was actual people here, and not a virtual representation of Flint, Michigan (don’t drink the water).

That’s pretty much it for now, I’m sure with the SDCC and upcoming movie, that PR firm will toss some more kindling into the mailbag.  Oh yeah, there is also HASCON, which we were told you can use the promo code FANMILY to get $20 off adult tickets and $10 off children tickets until July 23rd.  They also invited us to be a part of the press, or at least attempt to register.  To the Derpymobile!

We know you love to come to Ponyville Ciderfest every year. We know you love seeing the Guests of Honor, dancing along with the beautiful cadences of our musical guests, and experiencing unique panels shining with fun and knowledge. We also know you love to see all your friends and celebrate the magic of friendship.

Finally, we know that you’ll love getting two guest announcements for the price of one! We are proud to announce Britt McKillip and Andrew Francis as our next Guests of Honor for Ponyville Oktoberfest!

Andrew Francis and Britt McKillip are best known to MLP:FiM fans as the voices of the royal couple, Shining Armor and Princess Cadance. Outside of My Little Pony, McKillip is one half of the country music duo, One More Girl, with her sister Carly McKillip. Britt’s other acting roles include being the voice of Cloe in the Bratz series and Sabrina Spellman in Sabrina: Friends Forever. Andrew Francis has been in numerous acting roles in animation and live action, including Johnny Test, Powerpuff Girls Z, and the movie “Agent Cody Banks.”

Britt and Andrew will be making their first appearance at Ponyville Oktoberfest this October, joining the rest of the Guests of Honor we have announced so far. In addition, Oktoberfest will mark the first time the entire Crystal Empire royal family will be together at a convention. They’ll join the previously announced Tabitha St. Germain, who voices Flurry Heart, and to celebrate, we’re running a special offer on badges until the end of the month!

All badges and sponsorships are 10% through Friday, June 30th!

This sale is in addition to the already low, low price of the Early Bird weekend badge special, which also ends on Friday.  This week is the cheapest you’ll be able to get badges to come to this year’s Ponyville Oktoberfest!

Want to see us outside of the pony fandom too?  You can catch us at Anime Midwest in Chicago on July 7-9!  Stop on by and see us, and you might walk away with some free stuff!

Andrew Francis, making his first convention appearance since Ponycon NYC in 2016, is also playing the role of Connor O’Brien on Hallmark Channel’s Chesapeake Shores. Britt McKillip was at Everfree Northwest earlier this year.

The voice of a hundred ponies, Tabitha St. Germain, returns to Milwaukee!

Art by Sciggles

It’s a rarity to be disappointed with the flurry of guests at Ponyville Ciderfest. We always try to bring a variety of talent that moonlights as a wide range of your favorite My Little Pony characters.  But, no matter who we bring, they always take the cake!

We are proud to announce Tabitha St. Germain as our next Guest of Honor for Ponyville Oktoberfest 2017! Tabitha is best known as the voice of the fabulous fashionista Rarity on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She also provides the voice for Princess Luna, Granny Smith, Mrs. Cake, and many more. Tabitha has also voiced characters in previous generations of My Little Pony; including Minty and Thistle Whistle. Outside of My Little Pony, she is the voice of the comedic skunk Pepper Clark on Littlest Pet Shop, the talking dog Martha on Martha Speaks, a myriad of characters from various anime, and many, many more.

Tabitha is our third addition to our Guest of Honor lineup for this year’s Ponyville Oktoberfest, joining Nicole Oliver and Jay Fosgitt! A variety of badge options are available for you to choose from so you can come join us Milwaukee this fall from October 20-22.  Full weekend badges are available at the Early Bird price for $40, but that deal ends on June 30th!  Our Filly/Colt Weekend passes for kids 7-13 are only $20, and children under 6 are free!

Sponsor badges are still available too, and provide additional perks, such as tickets to the Sponsor Dinner and VIP Cocktail hour, plushies of our mascots Barley Tender and Caramel Malt, and autograph line priority. Celestial and Equestria sponsors also will get to participate in an EXCLUSIVE event with Tabitha! Prices for sponsor badges start at only $150 for the Spike Sponsor badge, and the perks get much better on the higher tiers!

Plus if you’re looking to provide content for the convention, panel, musician, and community guest applications are still open, and we’re also still looking for volunteers!

Come join Tabitha St. Germain and the rest of us in Milwaukee this October for magical friendship!

As so many of us do, Tabitha St. Germain began life as a happy jelly lump. She might not have been quite so happy if she had had eyes and could see that she was puce in hue—an unlovely colour, but she had no eyes. (See above re: jelly.) So: happy.

Far off, in the seams of a dimension like our own in no article, (except that there is a rudimentary Twitter that consists of people yelling out of doors into a corridor and then slamming the doors shut), a being named Snoodlewod Jam Jam Thwiket, took note of Tabby’s dab of DNA coalescing on the earth. Though only a jelly, and an unsettling colour, it was clear that the thing was FULL OF NOISE. ‘I’m going in,’ said Snoodlewod Jam Jam Thwiket. For Snod. was a musician, and he recognized that a rare instrument was forming, a golden windbag: Tabitha.

If you think that origin story was daft, here’s some of Snoodlewod Jam Jam Thwiket’s oeuvre:
Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda, C.O.P.S, Beetlejuice, DragonBall Z Gundam Seed, Carebears, Deathnote,  Martha Speaks, Jimmy-Two Shoes, A buncha Barbie movies, league of super evil,)Nerds and Monsters, Littlest Pet Shop,  Packages From Planet X, Sabrina: Secrets of a Teenage Witch, Pac-man, Lollirocks, Pirate Express, Dinotrux,  Endangered Species, Kong, Nina’s World, Supernoobs and  other stuff.

In MLP: Rarity, Luna, Nightmare Moon, Granny Smith, Mrs. Cake, Photo Finish, Rarity’s Mom, Muffins, Suri Polomare, Pound Cake, Spa Pony, Flurryheart and others.

Instrument also makes sauerkraut. Is no longer puce.

Tabitha was last at Ponyville Ciderfest in 2015. She joins Nicole Oliver and comic book artist Jay Fosgitt as announced guests–both of whom are new to Ciderfest. The last two Ciderfests have drawn over 1,100 attendees.
