The MLP After Show Show Miniseries, Ponify Now A Word & The HASCON MLP Experience

Despite the rumors of the olden days, our site has had very little contact with anyone official (in terms off news). People used to whisper that sites like this (and EqD) had the eye of Hasbro upon them, though given our “baked goods” section here, I doubt Hasbro has never even noticed us, though the President of The Hub did once.  Anyways with the movie and Hasbro’s first official convention coming up, seems the third party PR firm that found us has been churning out a fair share of news packets.

Ponychat: The After Show Show

First up on the block is a new “after show” show dubbed PonyChat, not to be confused with ye old Ponychat.net, a fan built IRC network that looks to be dead now.  The show is hosted by kids and will feature behind the scenes opportunities with storywriters, fans and parents to discuss important themes, friendship lessons and character development.  It will run as a 6 episode mini-series.

For fans of the popular My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic TV series, Hasbro is introducing PonyChat, the official, kid-hosted My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic aftershow. As one of the newest kid-focused after shows on the market, PonyChat will give My Little Pony fans a behind the scenes opportunity with storywriters, fans and parents to discuss important themes, friendship lessons and character developments throughout the Friendship Is Magic series. PonyChat will consist of a 6 episode mini-series, each hosted by the ultimate fans, 6-10 year old boys and girls, which will be hosted on My Little Pony’s official Facebook Page and YouTube Channel.

Today, the first episode of PonyChat went up! You can view the video at the link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOjf0mCpJ9g

The first episode gives a look back at My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic season 7: Not Asking for Trouble. In this episode, the two hosts reenact scenes, have an ice cream social and use pony magic to meet up with some special friends!

Following the first episode, fans can look forward to new episodes of PonyChat coming soon on the My Little Pony site, YouTube and Facebook pages.

Ponify Now An Open Source Word.

Then someone decided to add “ponify” to the open source version of the Webster Dictionary.  Yay, I guess.

The English language is constantly growing with new words, giving people more and more options to spice up their vocabulary… We’re excited to announce that today, “ponify” has officially been added to the open source Webster dictionary! You can search the word at the link here:

http://nws.merriam-webster.com/opendictionary/newword_search.php

You can find Webster’s definition of “ponify” below, and the word is exactly what you would think of based on the hit animated TV series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic!

ponify (verb) : to bestow the harmonious qualities relating to the magic of friendship (such as loyalty, generosity, kindness, laughter, and honesty) as featured in Hasbro’s animated show, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, upon a person, creature, fictional figure, or inanimate object by converting into the likeness of an animated My Little Pony character

Alice ponified her best friend Sarah and now she looks like one of the Mane 6 from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
