Good News Everyone (well, Star fans).
The show that was renewed for a second season before its first season began, has been renewed for a third season.
The network has also ordered a season three pickup for Disney TVA’s Annie Award-nominated “Star vs. The Forces of Evil” from creator Daron Nefcy and a second season of the short-form comedy series “Two More Eggs” from acclaimed web animation PIONEERS The Brothers Chaps (Mike and Matt Chapman).
The Annie Award-nominated “Star vs. The Forces of Evil” follows fiercely awesome teen princess from another dimension, Star Butterfly (voiced by Eden Sher), as she navigates high school, embarks on dimension-hopping adventures across the multiverse and battles arch-nemesis Ludo (voiced by Alan Tudyk) and his monstrous forces of evil alongside best friend Marco Diaz (voiced by Adam McArthur). Nefcy, a 2009 California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) graduate, is executive producer. “Star vs. The Forces of Evil” ranked as Disney XD’s #2 animated series in Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11 for 2015. “Star vs. The Forces of Evil: Star and Marco’s Guide to Mastering Every Dimension,” a hardcover book created by Nefcy and Disney Press, will be released in 2017.
Currently there isn’t any information on when Season 2 will begin. Thanks to Impus Tredecim for the tip off.
Its second season has yet to air, but Star vs. the Forces of Evil was given a third season by Disney XD on Friday. It joins Star Wars: Rebels in getting a third season pickup. The press release from Disney also announced a hardcover book entitled, “Star and Marco’s Guide to Mastering Every Dimension” schedule to come out in 2017.
Star premiered on January 18th, 2015 to 2.325 million viewers on the Disney Channel.
