Funrise to Release Rarity Plushie in the Spring

Funrise, maker of licensed plushies, has announced on their Facebook page that they’re going to release 5″ and 10″ Raritys in the spring of 2013.

There are already 5″, 10″ and 20″ plushies of Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash already. Only Applejack has yet to be released.

    I may be in the brony minority, but I think these plushies are really cute. They are targeted at kids and there’s reasons they make the manes that way. For a mass production plush that doesn’t cost $500 I think they are great. I plan on eventually getting a set of all the big 20″ ones. :-)

    I was so excited when I found pinkie pie at walmart but when I looked closer I was really dissapointed. They are kind of distorted (mainly the mouth) and I don’t like the hair at all. I ended up buying it anyway because my daughter wanted one but there is no way I would buy one for myself(I wanted fluttershy). It seems somewhat durable so far and my daughter loves it so if your ok with the looks and hair I would say go for it. As for me, I’d rather spend more money for a quality product made by a loving fan instead of this machine made monstrosity.
