“The Good Deed; The Prisoner” Among Top Ten Shows on Sunday

What’s more, the double episode also raked sixth in the Zap2it list, just like the premiere of “The Pet,” yet “The Good Deed; The Prisoner” did better absolutely with extrapolated 3,000,000 viewers vs. the 2,544,000 of “The Pet,” and that without being a premiere (except in that combination). It’s also number two among the animated shows if I’m not mistaken.

Painting by Show Artists Alex Kirwan and Josh Parpan

Here is the painting you can see shortly after minute nine, a work by two artists from the show, art director Alex Kirwan and background painter Josh Parpan. A nice addition to the production and cast & crew tags!

Craig McCracken just published this piece on Tumblr with the following comment:

Because it’s Friday, because The Prisoner, because I know you want it.

“The Prisoner” Episode Guide

shot0006

The episode “The Prisoner”—written by Lauren Faust and Greg White, storyboarded by Dave Thomas—was leaked last Saturday—or possibly it was just a copy of an authorized limited release by Disney, but I couldn’t confirm that. We decided that it would be disrespectful to post the episode prior to its official release, which is now upon us.

Character Designs for “The Prisoner” by Bryan Arnett

As some of his characters for “The Prisoner” were already shown in two promos for the episode, Bryan Arnett published the corresponding designs—the above image—on his freshly started Tumblr account. Follow away!

#103-The Prisoner. Designs for the space animals on Haters ship.

After the episode, he typically publishes a more complete set of these, so bookmark this article and check back when the episode has officially aired. You can find his designs for the previous episodes on the production tag.

So he did; see Bryan Arnett’s Tumblr or the gallery below.

New Scenes from “The Prisoner” in Monstober Promo

Fancy that, a new Monstober promo has turned up on the stream with fresh scenes most likely from “The Prisoner.” (I since replaced it with a 720p version from the WhatWouldWanderDo YouTube channel.)

Promo for Episode “The Prisoner”

Everything went perfectly wrong again. The livestream was down from half an hour before the episode until hours after and Spazz’s recording failed due to a power outage. Xyro also set his DVR but he’ll only be back home sometime on Sunday.

Luckily, I caught a repeat of the episode with promo today, and xxspookyjerra-chanxx recorded the “The Prisoner” teaser with a camcorder. My direct recording is only 240p, and as cam recordings go, theirs is pretty good, so you might want to watch both. (I’ve since replaced my recording with a 720p version from WhatWouldWanderDo YouTube channel.)

(What also worked is YayPonies rip of the iTunes version.)

First Synopsis for Episode “The Prisoner”

Nick and More has published the latest press release on Disney Channel’s programming highlights for October. Apart from the synopsis for “The Pet,” which we posted a few weeks ago, it also contains a synopsis for the episode “The Prisoner,” of which we had only known the title.

It would seem that this is also the episode that was mentioned in a recent interview with Craig McCracken!

In another, Wander agrees to deliver a package for someone and becomes consumed with curiosity about what it contains. Yet another episode will take us inside Lord Hater’s vast, skull-shaped ship (which McCracken describes as “what a 14-year-old would want the Death Star to be”) when Wander is taken prisoner and then escapes, to the extreme chagrin of Hater’s lead henchman, Peepers.

If you find mention of it in any of the other recent interviews, please leave me a hint in a comment below, so I can add a link.
